Fissure 8 & Hwy 132 & Night glow…

Sorry I didn’t get better pictures or video… was so excited to see where the glow had come from through our summer… I apologize if I sound like I am shouting… I was a little excited…

We saw many areas were trees had died, that are not native to here… and many trees producing fruit… even among all the devastation there were areas of green and growth and life…

The magnitude of the flow, can’t be seen by this video… but it covered over 700 homes and farms…

This is the Pahoa area and the road on Hwy 132 and some views of fissure 8 in the distance… this lava wall was over 80 feet tall, we could not get any closer….

This is the glow we saw before the lava quit, we saw this every night till it sputtered out…from our home…

What an amazing experience….
