My patients were combat Vets… Vietnam….

I get that people will get upset if one of us veterans with PTSD loses our temper… YOU THINK WE ARE HAPPY ABOUT IT TOO????

But…. the majority of us, who have PTSD along with Traumatic Brain injuries… live in a world of constant turmoil, that is just every day to you…

I quit using the VA back in 2014 and went on using my medicare and got things done that needed and kept my care contious and yes it cost me out of pocket… but El Paso VA and the Army hospital were negligent and I had no confidence and I am still not sure that TIA the MRA picked up, didn’t happen in 2011 when they operated on my leg… see previous blog…

Now that we have no Tri-west, it is medicare and VA only and the VA system started imploding back in the 80’s and it has never recovered… and if you think the swamp is big in DC… you should see the VA system… We used to have some real good doctors… what we get now, well… read my blog, enough said…

It used to be this whole thing the past week with my health care would set me off on a tangent and frustration and anger… instead I felt defeated, over whelmed and realization… I was back to 2014 and not using the VA….

Just a FYI, not one word from the Oral surgeons office about the approval they got yesterday… no surgery day scheduled and I saw my dentist a week ago Friday…. now leave a tooth in a mouth, near the brain and you better hope that brain barrier is intact and working right… I had a friend die from a tooth… and that is a true story…

About combat troops as patients… I dated GI’s when on Okinawa and got my taste of war in 1970 thru 72 till we left that island… it impressed on me the need to serve in the medical field… which I did at Vance AFB Dental Clinic…

Our base is small and a training base, so lots of in an out… but locals, retirees… we saw them too and those were my favorite patients… I got so many beautiful letters from my patients when the Air Force board was done…

The reason I got those letters, about 100 all together including the general’s… I related… I didn’t know it… but I related to the trauma they endured, saw and suffered… and yes patients get testy, but not one of mine ever did…

Either you are empathic to humanity or you are a christian, muslum, hindu… what ever all the religions are… you gave up your humanity for an idea that can not be proven… your humanity can and it is reflected in what is happening in America now…
